THE BROWSER SOURCE METHOD

Add a Browser source.
Create a source named StreamFluent Captions. Turn off Local file and paste your overlay URL into URL. Leave the background transparent. Keep “Shutdown source when not visible” off if you switch scenes frequently.

Give your words some space.
Use 1920 × 1080 for a landscape canvas, or 1080 × 1920 for portrait. Match the source to your actual canvas, then place it above your game and camera. The live overlay has a transparent background.

Back in the studio, run the audio check and confirm the input meter moves. Click Start translating and speak a full sentence. Once captions appear in your streaming app, start your broadcast there.
Keep the studio tab open. Prevent your computer from sleeping.
A quick sound check.
My microphone is blocked.+
Open the site permissions beside the address bar, allow Microphone, and try again. Also check microphone permissions in your operating system. Audio capture requires HTTPS, except on localhost.
I want to translate a browser tab.+
Select Tab audio in the studio and click Start translating. In desktop Chrome or Edge, choose a tab and enable Share tab audio. Sharing a window or screen may not include audio. The studio tells you if no audio track is available. Video frames are not sent for translation.
The overlay is blank.+
A blank overlay while you are silent is normal. Confirm you copied the complete link, including everything after #. Start translating and speak. Make sure the source is visible and above your video. A reset link must be replaced in every app.
Captions stopped or the connection dropped.+
Check that the studio is open and shows Translating. Reconnect your input or network, then click Start translating again. Capture stops on connection failure; it does not silently restart your microphone.
Can I use a phone or cloud OBS?+
The overlay can be displayed remotely, but audio still needs an active studio browser with access to your microphone or tab. Mobile background capture is unreliable. For cloud OBS, run the studio on a computer that can actually hear the intended audio.
Will my viewers hear translated audio?+
The caption studio produces text overlays. Your streaming app keeps sending your original audio. Voice dubbing is available in StreamFluent’s separate advanced tools.
