A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS
Before you go live.
Do I need an OBS plugin?+
No. The studio captures audio in your browser. Your streaming app displays the captions through a normal browser source. Keep the studio tab open while translating.
Where can I stream?+
Use OBS Studio, Streamlabs Desktop, Meld Studio, XSplit, PRISM Desktop, or StreamElements SE.Live. Captions become part of your video, so they travel with your stream to Twitch, YouTube, Kick, and other destinations.
Can viewers choose their own language?+
The browser overlay shows the languages you choose to everyone watching. Individual viewer language selection needs a separate viewer integration; this overlay is not a Twitch extension.
Can I translate a video or another stream?+
Choose Tab audio in the studio, then select a browser tab and enable Share tab audio. Desktop Chrome and Edge are recommended. Audio availability depends on the browser, operating system, and source.
What happens when I stop translating?+
Microphone and tab capture stop, the translation connection closes, and your overlay clears. Your saved overlay link and style are ready for the next stream.
